An imperfectly perfect love…

Kerela is one of the beautiful places of India, that beauty of nature, that soothing rain, that clam surrounding, that enchanted mantras in temples, and beautiful love stories, can be seen nowhere, but Kerela. In the huge state of Kerela there is a city called KOCHI (Cochin) filled with eternal essence of nature. She was one of the million essence of nature of Kochi. She was beautiful in her own way, and the beauty which nature gave her was totally divine, that kohl in her eyes, spoke much more than her pink lips, that bindi on her forehead was the moonlight of her beauty, her heart was as innocent as a kid, she was one of the best creations of the nature. She visited her grandmother every summer vacations. This visit was also one of the tour of vacations…

One evening

She was fond of music, while she was bored at home, she went out and was searching for a music store, and finally she found one, as she entered the shop, she directly went to the cassette section of the store, while she was searching for cassette , she didn’t notice that she is being noticed by him. Finally she found what she was looking for, and now she was at billing counter, waiting for her turn, and that billing counter was the place where first time they exchanged a smile, he smiled looking at her, seeing him smiling she couldn’t hold herself, she smiled back, and shyingly turned her face to the other side. She came back home. Like every other girl she also had questions, afterall she was just 16, curiosity, nervousness, thoughts every special emotion was wandering in her mind, she felt nervous and special at the same time…

2 days later

She was coming from the backyard, towards her drawing room, as she entered the room, a wide smile appeared on her face, she couldn’t hide it, it was him, the guy she exchanged smile with on that shop, she was happy and confused at the the same time. She didn’t reacted more she smiled, he smiled and then she left for other room, wondering, why would he be here? But there were no answers, and she has no courage to ask anyone in the house, it was weird, but she didn’t knew why?…

After one week…

Her summer vacations were coming to an end, and she has to leave for her native town next morning, but what about him? She questioned herself, this thought kept wandering her head the entire day, and finally, she decided to go to the shop, to meet him before she leaves. It was raining, she took her umbrella, and without any second thoughts in mind, she directly went straight to the shop. When she was at doorstep of the shop, she stopped their for minute, took a deep breath, held her heartbeat and then finally entered the shop. As he saw her entering the shop automatically a smile appeared on his face, and then the third law of uncle Newton was being practiced, (for every action, there is equal and opposite reaction), as he smiled, she smiled back , but pretended like she hasn’t seen him, it seemed to him like she is smiling at someone else. Well! That was an epic reaction, she smiled at him but he didn’t knew. Pretending not to see him, she directly went straight to cassette section of the store, and faked the actions of searching, and suddenly he showed up. Hey! he said, with a big smile on his face, Oh hii! She replied, trying not to sound desperate. So, you love music, he asked again, yeah! She replied short and simple, before he could carry on the conversation more, she said, ok! See you then bye, and she left. Bye! He murmured to himself…

He was a sweet intelligent and good looking at the same time, good looking and intelligent is a rare combination found in boys, and sincere girls normally get fascinated by them, so was she…

One year later…

One year passed, she forgot him in her busy life, she was in class 10th preparing for boards, so she really didn’t remembered him. After one year, when the boards exams were over, during the vacations like always, she landed at her grandma’s place ‘Kochi’ , and first person came in her mind as she landed there was ‘him’. You know sometimes, our conscious mind, forgets about a particular incident or a person, but it is never really forgotten, it is stored in our sub – conscious mind, and when you see something related to that incident, that memory directly gets transferred to your conscious mind, something like this happened to her, her conscious mind forgot him in the tension of studies and exams, but somewhere her sub conscious mind held her beautiful memory safe in her mind, and as she landed Kochi, the first thing, the first person came to her mind was him, all the memories of last year was getting rewinded in her memory, but on the second thoughts, will he be remembering her? What if he would have forgotten her, these thoughts haunted her mind. What if he doesn’t recognise her?

2 days later…

She wanted to meet him, she wanted to go to the shop where he worked, she wanted to surprise him, but what if he doesn’t recognise her? This thought was holding her back. But as they say what is destined is destined, you can’t run from it. One day she was wandering on the streets of Kochi with her cousin, and suddenly she saw the shop where he worked in, on the other side of the street, she wanted to go, but the fear of not being recognised held her back, and then ‘ oh! I was looking for this shop only, I need to buy some new cassettes, ‘ her cousin said, pointing at the same shop, she was looking at, before she could say anything, her cousin held her and dragged her into the shop, and as she entered, She saw a very familiar, very known, one year old wide smile on a very familiar face, it was him, he hasn’t forgotten her, he remembered her all the time, seeing him smile, she couldn’t hold but smiled back at him. Her cousin bought the cassette and she was back home. That night she didn’t slept for a a single moment, she was happy with the thought, that he never forgot her. All the time in summer vacation when she was in Kochi she used to go to his shop once a week, they both exchanged smile, and then she would come home, this process continued till the end of summer vacation, now it was time for her to go back. She wanted to meet him once, before leaving, so she went straight to the shop just the day before she was leaving. She wanted to talk, but she couldn’t and same old happened, exchanging of smiles. And she returned home…

After one week…

One week passed by since the day she returned from Kochi. She was surfing on her Facebook, she thought of searching him, she clicked on the search button, typed his name and then erased it, should I search him? Or should I not? The confusion was ruling her mind, and then she finally typed his name and pressed the search button, he showed on the top of the search list, she clicked on his name, his profile was open. Should I send him friend request? Or should I not? The confusion was back again, and finally, she pressed the button of ‘Add friend ‘ and the best part was, in no counting seconds he accepted her friend request immediately. She was feeling surprised, nervous, special, and shy at the same time, but that feeling for her was very different…

She never understood his feelings, she was a cute idiot, he gave her all the time and attention to her, he remembered her for last one year, and that stupid girl, couldn’t understand that he loved her from the first place he saw her. ‘Girls are so naive I tell you ‘. But maybe she might not know his feelings, but she knew her feelings…

After the friend request was accepted on the Facebook, they started chatting, now conversations were long and meaningless (mostly happens in love), they started sharing comfort level with each other, and finally they exchanged numbers. They often use to have their conversation on phone in their native language (Malyalam). That made them more comfortable with each other. He always had feelings for her from the day he saw her for the first time, but she, it was new and different feeling for her, she didn’t realised but she had developed feelings for him, he affected her, his compliments, his support, his complains, everything affected her, they were growing a great feeling of affection called love

One year later…

One year passed by since they became friends, or can say the best friends. But how stupid of them, one year passed by they both had feelings for eachother but none took the initiative to share it. They knew that they loved eachother but hadn’t shared the feelings of their hearts to one another. How naive! This was the most imperfect part of the story, which made their relation, Imperfectly perfect, may be if they would have confessed their feelings, nothing would have changed, but not confessing, definitely made their love, AN IMPERFECTLY PERFECT LOVE…❤️
